The Faculty of Business became operational in January 2013
following the integration of The Faculty of Commerce and the
Sydney Business School. Both Faculties have proud independent
histories but it is now time to consolidate in order to meet the
challenges of global competition as Australia and other nations
still struggle with the impact of the global financial crisis. The
integration also comes at a time when business schools around
the world are evaluating their role in educating a generation of
leaders who can respond to the complex challenges of building sustainable enterprises that balance profits with people.
